Our final Semifinal match of the Woodhaven Competition

As the 2nd week of competition loomed before all of the members of TEMPEST Team 240, hope ran strong between them, a feeling only rivaled by the anxiety many were feeling about competing with a whole new host of teams. Nevertheless, every member shouldered on towards the Woodhaven Competition, and had armed themselves with everything the first competition of the year had taught them. TEMPEST fought hard through their qualification matches, proving themselves to be enough of an asset on the field to be the second pick of Alliance 5 in the qualification match. They were able to shine through the work of their Drive Team, who, throughout our matches, disabled opposing robots from scoring and gave our team a better chance to score. Sadly, due to technical difficulties with the robot, TEMPEST was eliminated in Semifinal match 9-1. It cannot be understated, however, how much we all at TEMPEST appreciate the ability to compete in FRC Competitions, among fellow students and friends.
